I was born in Hellín, Albacete (Spain) and completed my degree and PhD at the University of Murcia, Spain, under the supervision of Prof. José Serrano and Dr. Jesús Gómez-Zurita. In 2013 I moved to the Natural History Museum (NHM) of London, UK, working as a Postdoctoral researcher within a Leverhulme Trust funded grant. I worked with Prof. Alfried Vogler at NHM and Imperial College of London as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for 3 years, when I moved to the Canary Islads with a Marie Curie grant (SOILBIODIV project) to work with with Brent C. Emerson and Paula Arribas on soil biodiversity of ocenaic islands at IPNA-CSIC.
